Ive just returned from 5 days painting with my friend Paul Rafferty in the Cote D Azur. We both worked very ard and did more than 15 paintings each...mostly 12 x 16s too which was exhausting, especially as it was so hot. I did a few I was happyish with but mostly dissapointed. Think I was trying too hard and in the company of a much more talented painter. That said I also feel I learned alot and had a great time!

My favorite is the Nice Market...fantastic! Spending the summer plein air...frustrating and fun at the same time...and a bit addicting.
