Pictures from the Cote D Azur

Ive just returned from 5 days painting with my friend Paul Rafferty in the Cote D Azur. We both worked very ard and did more than 15 paintings each...mostly 12 x 16s too which was exhausting, especially as it was so hot. I did a few I was happyish with but mostly dissapointed. Think I was trying too hard and in the company of a much more talented painter. That said I also feel I learned alot and had a great time!

  1. My favorite is the Nice Market...fantastic! Spending the summer plein air...frustrating and fun at the same time...and a bit addicting.

  2. Brilliant, what a week. My favorites are the Fort Walls and Under the Parasol Pines.
The Fountain in Nice and the Nice Market are really nice especially as you'd just got off the plane and were launched into such complicated subject matter.
I had a great time Karl, Thanks.
